Democratic Operative Announces Party Exit

Fox News is reporting that a Democratic campaign operative revealed that she is exiting the party after volunteering at last month’s Democratic National Convention, which left her “disenchanted” with Democratic leadership.

Jesse Watters Primetime’ carried the interview (click here to view) here to discuss her ‘divorce’ from the Democratic Party and why she is auctioning off her million-dollar Obama ‘Hope’ poster. The report follows a Newsweek op-ed published Tuesday in which, Evan Barker described how she went from raising “tens of millions of dollars” for Democrats to distancing herself from a party she now believes is “totally out of touch” with everyday Americans.

Different Abilities

All of us have unique strengths and weaknesses. Each of us is only as big as the smallest thing it takes to divert us from our goals and objectives. As a blind person myself, I am labeled by others as having a disability. While I will be the first to admit that being blind creates some unique challenges, I have never felt that my lack of sight was a barrier any greater than someone else’s divorce, bankruptcy, job loss, or any of the other challenges we all endure in our 21st-century lives.

As a blind person, I find it ironic that among my various business interests, I am best known around the world for writing books that I can’t read that have been made into movies I can’t watch. My blindness only becomes a barrier if I limit my potential to doing things the way the vast majority of people do them.

Osage Citizens Allege Corruption

Rancher Bud Beaston and District Attorney Mike Fisher (Osage and Pawnee Counties) may not agree on anything except that Osage County disputes have raged for a long time. Beaston says corruption in Osage County begins with zoning and planning efforts, extends to questionable land and building sales, construction of public facilities, and even elected officials intimidating citizens and ignoring votes. DA Fisher calls the allegations “baseless with no evidence to support it.” Beaston counters he has the evidence and awaits lawful authority willing to hear the case.

Early in September Beaston sent a registered letter to Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond. He also sent copies of that letter to Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt, various additional officials including the US Department of Justice, and thirty legacy media outlets throughout the state. As of today, no one other than this reporter has called in response, Beaston said.
