TU football character on display

One of the great things in rejecting bad behavior by the National Football League (NFL) is greater time available for quality college ball. Both Oklahoma (OU) and Oklahoma State (OSU) this season have squads capable of competing at the highest level, but don’t forget Tulsa (TU) plays great ball as the smallest (enrollment) university playing Division One football.

That drought ended Wednesday night at ONEOK Field in the first game of a three-game series with Frisco. Roughnecks fall to Rangers

A combination of turnovers and critical mistakes led to the third straight loss for the Tulsa Roughnecks FC on Tuesday night as they fell to Swope Park Rangers (Sporting KC 2) by a 2-1 decision at ONEOK Field.

The Rangers used a goal in each half to push past the Roughnecks, who haven’t won a match since defeating Portland 3-1 on May 27.  The match began as many soccer matches often do, with the teams playing a very tentative game through the first 24 minutes.  Continue reading
