OU crushes Auburn in Sugar Bowl

Oklahoma won the Sugar Bowl on Monday against Auburn, 35-19. The Sooners had just a 14-13 lead at halftime, but they dominated the second half and cruised to victory.

The game wasn’t ultimately close. The Sooners (Big-12) out-gained the Tigers (SEC) by a 524-339 margin, and it became a real blowout by the end according to SBNation.com.

Remington Research Group conducted a national public opinion survey regarding the NFL on topic December 11th through December 12th and 1,945 respondents participated.

In this year’s OU vs. OSU Bedlam coverage Carlson surpasses, in our humble opinion, all previous work with an observation asserting “OU running back Samaje Perine taking a knee instead of scoring a touchdown was Bedlam’s best play.”

United effort underway to deal with feral swine

They are prolific breeders, travel long distances, are susceptible to diseases and cause problems through rooting, wallowing and destruction of resources. Along with the Wildlife Services Division of the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation is taking positive steps to address the feral swine situation in Oklahoma.

Feral swine have become a concern across Oklahoma because of their ever expanding numbers and the damage they inflict to the landscape. Feral swine have been detected in 70 of the state’s 77 counties, but they are most prevalent across the southern parts of Oklahoma. They are most active at night.

Scoreboard bar construction underway

oneoakfieldbarThe bar is being raised at ONEOK Field this off season. Literally. Construction is underway on a new, scoreboard bar in another major, off-season upgrade for the downtown stadium that is home to the Tulsa Drillers and Tulsa Roughnecks.

The open-air, four-sided bar is being constructed under the stadium’s scoreboard behind the left-center field fence. The design will feature a combination of steel and cedar elements to give the area a unique feel. When completed, it is believed it will be the largest, outdoor bar in the state of Oklahoma.
