City Hall and other City offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 17, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Public safety and mission critical operations, however, will operate as normal. Residents who need assistance with a water or sewer problem may call the City’s 24-hour emergency number, 596-9488.
Trash service in Tulsa will operate as normal on Monday, including any scheduled curbside recycling. Customers whose trash is picked up on Mondays and Thursdays should put their trash at the curb on Monday as usual. Once-a-week trash service in the northwest quadrant will not be affected because Monday is not a usual service day.
The City of Tulsa green waste site at 10401 E. 56th St. North, however, will be closed on Monday, Jan. 17. It will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 18, to resume its normal schedule of seven days a week, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. except for City holidays.
Tulsa Parks offices and recreation centers will be closed on Monday, Jan. 17. The City of Tulsa Animal Welfare Shelter at 3031 N. Erie Ave. also will be closed on Monday. The shelter is not usually open on Mondays; its usual schedule is Tuesday through Friday from noon to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m.
Mohawk and Page Belcher golf courses, as well as the Tulsa Zoo, will be open on Monday. Gilcrease Museum will be closed, according to its usual schedule. The Tulsa Performing Arts Center also will be closed, including the ticket office.
